Powys Country House and Holiday Cottages make the perfect country lover's self catering getaway. Residing in picturesque Corwen on the edge of Snowdonia National Park in North Wales the surrounding areas include: Llangollen, Bala, Betws-y-coed, and Chester.
Ideal for wedding parties the traditionally rustic country house, coach house and cottages in their surrounding landscaped gardens create the perfect backdrop to any wedding photo.
The Country House also makes the perfect relaxing country retreat for corporate events, making a refreshing alternative to a hotel or Travelodge, and is great for family reunions and anniversary parties.
The majestic Country House, set in nearly 3 acres of gardens, accommodates a maximum of 20 guests throughout its 8 bedrooms; all supplied with clean fresh linen and en suite facilities provided in 7 of the rooms. Rooms 7 and 8 are also serviced by stair lift; providing ease of access for the elderly or disabled.
The Coach House is a stone cottage employing modern features such as; a conservatory, full central heating, and a large, fully equipped kitchen, including washing machine. The lounge has a large settee, arm chair, electric fire, sky freeview TV and DVD player. There is a double and twin bedroom, sleeping 4 to 6 people, both with en-suite shower rooms and ground floor WC.
Grooms Cottage has full central heating with open plan lounge and fully fitted kitchen with original beams and includes; dishwasher, and washing machine. The lounge has 2, two seat settees, freeview TV and DVD player. There is a double and a twin bedroom, sleeping 4 people, both with en-suite facilities.
The Stable Cottage sleeps 2 to 4 people and has full central heating and log burner fire, fully equipped kitchen including washing machine and dishwasher. Open plan lounge; including bed settee and dining room with gallery landing bedroom with king sized bed and en-suite shower and ground floor W.C.
Facilities within the grounds are provided for guest's entertainment and enjoyment during their stay; these include, the lawn tennis court (racquets and balls are provided!), patio area and giant chess board and the paddock for ball games. There is also a 6 person hot tub, and a new games room due for completion in the summer of 2011. If you wish to visit the local attractions there are a host of activities and sights to see in the area such as; Thomas Telford's aqueduct, steam trains, canal boats, or, for the energetic: white water rafting, canoeing, shooting, clay pigeon shooting, paint balling, Go carting, high rope / tree climbing, sailing, off road 4x4 driving, fishing.
